Clément Sénèque (1896 - 1930) by family repute. An oil on canvas "The Tree at the Blue Lagoon', Durban. Visible image 33 x 23cm. No visible signature.
This painting was given to Captain Frank Harris of the SS Umgen (Bull & King Natal Line) by the late artist's wife as thanks for safe passage on various journeys. She has attached a label to the reverse to certify that the painting is by her late husband and signed it T Sénèque.
Painting in good condition. Torn paper to reverse. There is a very small area top right where the canvas is risen.
