Rachel B. Reckitt 1908-1955 oil on board 1928 "Watchet Lifeboat" 61cms x 91cms.
The first lifeboat was in 1875 and closed in 1944. The boat was taken a long the quay to be launched on a wagon. The lifeboat house is now the town library. This is a preparatory sketch with lines for perspective. All proceeds to the Staithes & Runswick RNLI.
