IMG_1646Another excellent day at the racecourse on June 24th  was highlighted by a bronze and ivory figure by Ferdinand Priess. The figure was unearthed in a box in a house in Beverley unloved and unvalued. Completely surprising the vendors a £5000 – 8000 estimate was put on it as it went up for sale at the racecourse in Beverley. A number of bidders were eliminated until a local collector and the last telephone had a sustained battle with the prize eventually being one on the telephone from South Africa at £10,000.00.
