A packed room saw some excellent results achieved across the board. The presence of the Antiques Road Trip filming in the morning added to the occasion leading to a great atmosphere in the Rapid Lad bar. The highlight of the sale was a good interior oil on canvas by Beverley’s own Fred Elwell and it made a solid £11,000 on the hammer. Jewellery sold very well with amber again attracting big money and a coral necklace exceeding expectations at £1450. Amongst the more interesting lots were two pairs of original Concorde seats which flew out of the auction at over £500 each pair. We are already looking forward to our next auction on July 24th with some good quality items already entered.
